Coming from a well-to-do family, Prof. S. N. Prasad took his first class Master Degree in Zoology from the Ravishanker University, Raipur (M.P.) in 1968. He started his career as a lecturer in the Department of zoology in 1971 at Ram Jaipal College, Chapra under Bihar University (now under Jai Prakash University). Now, he is reader and Head in the same department of the said college. This college is well reputed located in the heart of the town. He is a man of simple living and high thinking. This has elevated his personality among the commoners too. He is a very popular teacher of his college having a good command over the subject he teaches. He is keenly interested in the development and introduction of new technological courses in the University. Hence, he has joined as a Director in the Directorate of Distance Education under Jai Prakash University, Chapra. Under his stewardship, the Directorate has carved a glorious position in Bihar within a short span of time.

Coming from an humble peasantry background, Prof.Kamta Roy started his career as a Demonstrator in the Department of Physics, Gopeshwar College, Hthua (Gopalganj), after doing his graduation in 1963 from Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. He took his Master Degree in Physics from the same University in 1968. Now he is Reader and Head, Department of Physics in Ram Jaipal College, Chapra, an institution of high repute. He has written more than a dozen of books on Physics upto B.Sc. Honours Degree level. This proves his competence in the subject he teaches. Besides, he is keen on and well acquainted with the development of Computer and Information Technology. At present, he has joined the Directorate of Distance Education, Jai Prakash University, Chapra as a Coordinator. A man of modest behaviour, he sincerely discharges his duties at the Directorate.
